This painting is part of a series that brings to mind various landscapes that I’ve appreciated in the past. “Bouldering” reminds me of climbing rocks near Tucson, AZ on a warm day that turned hot very quickly. The boulders became very hot to the touch. We probably should have brought more water, but the scenery was too beautiful to give up on, despite the heat.
