“Story Of A Migration 3” is a mixed media painting on archival quality watercolor paper. I’ve used charcoal, acrylic paint, graphite, paint pens, and colored pencil. The painting is 10×8.5 inches and will fit in a standard 8×10 inch mat or frame. The painting does not come with a mat unless you also choose that option. The mats that I have available are acid-free, a warm white, and will fit in a standard 11×14 inch frame.

This series of paintings tells the story of a brave flock of birds that must migrate during a season that comes with sunshine, storms, fog, snow, and rain. It begins with just a single bird noticing that it’s time to go and beginning to rally the others. As they start out, they encounter a storm. Hunkering down for a bit, they move on and fly through a mix of sunny, rainy, snowy, and foggy days. Near the end of their long journey they witness a spectacular sunset and feel that their long flight is nearly over. The final painting in the series shows the branches of a welcoming tree that the weary birds gently land upon and settle in for a well deserved rest. They have made it home.

Since this painting is on paper, I would highly recommend framing it. As mentioned above, it will fit in a standard 8×10 inch mat or frame. If framing it with no mat, it may need to be trimmed down slightly.
