36x36 inch original mixed media painting

"Counting The Stars" is 36x36 inches on gallery wrapped canvas. It was painted while I was thinking about the huge night sky that stretches across the ranch where I grew up. The stars are endless, and the Milky Way and planets are easy to see. Living in the city now, I miss those night skies and having the opportunity to tally up the stars as they start to show up as dusk settles in.

I decided not to do a literal interpretation and chose to paint in light colors rather than the hues of night time, but little “stars” march across the middle of this piece and the numbers keep track of my count.

“Counting The Stars” is a beautifully layered original acrylic/mixed media painting. It was created on a 36x36 inch gallery wrapped canvas that is 1.5 inches deep. The painting is carried around the edges.
